Our story

The mental health care older adults were never offered

Brightrise exists because one family couldn't find help built for their father — and decided to build it for the next family.

"Brightrise is the resource I couldn't find for my dad."

My father had a lot of ups and downs. I encouraged him and supported him, but he never found the right help — and when I went looking for care built for someone his age, there was nothing. Everything mixed older adults in with teenagers and people in their forties. Seniors were simply left behind.

He got the help he needed in the end, and he's doing well today. I built Brightrise so the next family finds that help sooner.

Our mission

To bring older adults the mental health care they were never offered — with the warmth, patience, and expertise they deserve.

Why older adults

Older adults are the largest, fastest-growing, and least-served population in mental health. Roughly 15–20% live with treatable depression, anxiety, grief, or caregiver strain — yet only about 3% receive care, because almost nothing in the field is built for them. The gap is widest in rural communities. We're changing that, starting across the Midwest.

Guided by leaders in the field

Our clinical approach is shaped by nationally recognized advisors in older-adult mental health, and delivered by licensed clinicians who specialize in later life. Warmth and patience aren't extras here — they're the standard of care.
